A group of concerned Ryedale residents against fracking
Minerals and Waste Joint Plan – PLEASE DONATE!
Donate now! The Minerals and Waste Joint Plan for North Yorkshire, City of York and North Yorks Moors National Park, when adopted, will form the planning blueprint by which fracking (and many other minerals and waste) applications will be determined until 2030. The next stage of the Plan’s development is the Examination in Public (EiP) which will start on 27 February 2018 at County Hall in Northallerton. It will close on 23 March.
The draft plan defines buffer zones around the National Park and areas of outstanding natural beauty, and also minimum set back distances from housing. The fracking industry is attempting to water down or remove each of these protections
Frack Free Ryedale is therefore raising funds to employ independent experts on behalf of local residents, in order to defend these minimum protections. Can you spare a donation to help?
