Please come along on Monday to demonstrate against the plans for fracking at Kirby Misperton. Friday was a fantastic day with over a thousand people turning up during the day to demonstrate against the plans, and the activities gained nationwide media attention.
However, the job is only half done. We need everyone who can possibly make it to come along on Monday to show their opposition to fracking.
The day will start with the final speakers opposing the proposals, then those in favour of fracking will be speaking. Then the Planning Officer Vicky Perkin will be summarising her report, and then the planning committee will discuss their decision.
The venue is still County Hall in Northallerton, right opposite the train station, and the hearing starts at 9.30 am. The decision is expected some time in the afternoon, so even if you can’t come early, please come along. Keep in touch with what’s happening on Drill or Drop, which will be having a live stream blog of the event, or keep an eye on our Facebook and Twitter pages.
There is also a Facebook Event page for the demonstration on Monday, which will be updated with news as we have it.
PLEASE COME ALONG ON MONDAY AND SHOW YOUR OPPOSITION TO FRACKING IN NORTH YORKSHIRE.
