Rally for a Frack Free Ryedale – MALTON, SATURDAY 25th APRIL, 12.00.

11054444_396530890529857_222693759240612330_n[1]Here’s a very important date for your diaries. On Saturday 25th April we are holding a rally in Malton to show how strongly people feel about the dangers that fracking poses to our health, businesses, tourism, water supply, farming and day-to-day life in Ryedale.
In order to send a message to the election candidates and fracking company Third Energy, a massive turnout is needed on the day – so please come along and help make this the biggest ever anti-fracking rally ever held in Yorkshire.
unnamed[2] - CopyWe will be assembling at Norton Skate Park, which is three minutes walk from Malton station at 12.00 (see map). Then the procession will head through Malton town centre and end at the rally point in Castle Gardens, where there will be speeches, music, refreshments, an information stall – and of course cakes!
The rally will be a family-friendly event, so please bring your kids, friends, neighbours – everyone! There will be placards available on the day, or why not make your own to show how much you are against fracking?
Can you help? We are looking for volunteers to act as marshals during the rally and also to help in our FFR information tent. If you can give us a hand, please email us at contact@frackfreeryedale.org. Thanks a lot!
More information on the Rally will be posted here when we have it. We look forward to seeing you there!
PS No dogs are allowed in Castle Gardens, sorry.

So sorry I can’t attend the Rally on 25th April – I have to go to Manchester with my daughter to sort out university accommodation for her. But I’ll be there in spirit and I hope it is well attended and makes a point!
    Cheers,
    Geraldine
