PEOPLE POWER – Kirkbymoorside

Have you ever thought of becoming a Parish, Town or District Councillor?
As councils all over the UK stand up to the threat of fracking, there has never been a more important time to get involved in local politics.
So why not come along to the Moorside Room, Kirkbymoorside, and hear Kirkby Councillor Martin Brampton talking about how to stand as an independent or Green councillor in the forthcoming elections.
The event starts at 7.30 pm.

AN END TO DEMOCRACY – Helmsley

BBC film maker David Malone and Green Prospective Parliamentary Candidate Chris Newsam discuss the implications of the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnerhship (TTIP) and the Infrastructure Bill – two devastatingly important pieces of legislation that threaten to make corporations more powerful than ever. The implications of both pieces of legislation for fracking are also very serious indeed.
