Fighting fracking in Ryedale and across North Yorkshire
Join our NEW mailing list
Why a new mailing list?
As you may have heard, new data protection laws are coming into force in the UK and across the EU on 25th May. The so-called GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) will set new rules for how charities, businesses and other organisations use and store your personal data.
This means that if you would like to continue receiving newsletters and email alerts from us, you need to ‘opt-in’ by clicking hereand filling in a simple form. You’ll find further information about how we will use your data, and how it will be stored, on the form itself.
I’m already on your old mailing list. Do I need to do this?
Yes, you do. We are using this opportunity to build a brand new database to ensure that everyone on it is 100% GDPR compliant. So, even if you have been receiving newsletters from us for four years, you need to do this. Clickhereif you haven’t already done so!
Is anything else changing?
As you probably know, the threat of fracking is spreading beyond Ryedale and into other areas of North Yorkshire. So the Frack Free Ryedale communications team are joining forces with the good people of Frack Free North Yorkshire (FFNY) to provide wider coverage of fracking-related issues across the whole of North Yorkshire in future newsletters and email alerts. Anyone who was on the FFNY database is therefore also invited to sign up to our new database by clicking here.
What happened to the sign-up form on your home page?
We’re removed that sign-up form as it directed people to the old FFR database. On 24th May that database will be deleted, as will all the data stored in it. This means that from 25th May, if you aren’t on the new database, you won’t get any newsletters in your in box. So …
Exactly. And thank you very much for doing so. And of course you can unsubscribe at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email, or contacting us at email@example.com. Together we can beat fracking – but we can only do it together.
